Dazzle Camouflage

A few months ago, Mr. Kiji put me on to the Dazzle Camouflage used on British and American war ships in WWI (and WWII?). Ever since then, I've been kind of obsessed with the idea of disruptive camouflage versus blending camouflage and how the human eye sees and reacts to each.

RISD will be hosting a symposium and exhibit entitled,
"Artists at War: Exploring the Connections Between Art and Camouflage" from the end of January until March, partly focusing on Dazzle. More info here:

Thanks Kiji! When I finally purchase my war ship, you're painting it.
